This site runs entirely on managed AWS services: no servers to patch, nothing public that can be written to. The diagram is live: click any box or link to see what it does and why it’s there. Watch the packet trace a request from the viewer, through the edge, to the origin.

This site is also my longest-running experiment in building with AI: theme, diagrams, and deploy scripts all built in AI pair sessions, with the decisions (including what got parked) documented. The working-with-AI page has the verdicts.

A repurposed gaming PC runs Proxmox: a Docker Compose stack (Jellyfin, Nextcloud, a custom FastAPI aggregator, and more) behind Caddy. Alongside it, an always-on HP ProDesk 600 mini server carries the essential services (Vaultwarden, Glance, a trading bot) in LXC containers: compact, low-power, quiet, and still up when the big box isn’t. Everything reachable only over a Tailscale mesh, with encrypted daily backups to S3. The diagram is live: click any node to see what it does and why.

Active recall in Obsidian

Retrieval is what makes things stick — so I built a pipeline around it: consolidate a topic the day I finish it, then recall it in a different mode on a widening schedule. The diagram is live: click any step.

Every week there’s a new AI tool to jump on. Keeping up with all of them is a full-time job that produces nothing.

This page is the opposite: a running ledger of which tools earned a place in how I work, which I’m still testing, and which I dropped, each with the receipt behind the call. Short on purpose. It grows when something earns it.
